Since Oct 7, threatening antisemitic messages have suffused local colleges
The Post Millennial reminds that soon after the Israel–Gaza war began in October, UC Davis professor Jemma Decristo tweeted that “zionist journalists... have houses w addresses, kids in school / they can fear their bosses, but they should fear us more.” After social media uproar, Chancellor Gary May “wholeheartedly” castigated the prof's remarks encouraging violence against Jews—but promised only to “carefully review” Decristo (who, yep, remains employed at UC Davis to this day).
A radical ... professor at University California Davis praised the attacks on US embassies in the Middle East and threatened "Zionist journalists" and their children in a crypic message posted to social media following Hamas' terrorist attacks on Israel.
Jemma Decristo, a far-left ... assistant professor of American Studies at UC Davis, wrote on X just days after Palestine's Hamas slaughtered more than 1,400 men, women, and children in Israel: "One group of people we have easy access to in the US is all these zionist journalists who spread propaganda & misinformation. They have houses with addresses, kids in school. They can fear their bosses, but they should fear us more."
Decristo's threat was followed up with emoji's that included a knife, and axe, and blood droplets.
… In addition to violent threats against journalists and their children, Decristo posted support for the violent attacks on United States Embassies in the Middle East. Riots were seen outside the US Embassies in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt on Tuesday night following false reports that the Israel Defense Force (IDF) had bombed a hospital in Gaza. It was revealed later that this was not the case.
In support of the attacks on the US Embassies, and while responding to a large gathering of Hezbollah supporters outside the embassy in Beirut, Decristo wrote on X: "Fire to the US embassy. US out of everywhere. US GO HOME. US GO HOME." …
Academics in higher education have been at the forefront of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic propaganda since Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on October 7 in the most heinous act of terror Israel has seen since 1973.
